By Media RelationsMedia are invited to attend a town hall meeting at the University of Waterloo Stratford Campus. The meeting is an opportunity for residents and businesses in Stratford to hear an update on the latest work of the University’s digital media satellite.
“Our University enjoys an extremely strong relationship with the City of Stratford and I look forward to the opportunity to share some of the exciting developments we have seen this year,” said Ginny Dybenko, executive director at Stratford. “We are working on plans to further develop the campus and we will develop these plans with the support of the Stratford community as we seek to make fundamental and long term change in this vibrant, growing city.”

The University of Waterloo is a catalyst for economic growth in cities where it operates satellite campuses. The University expects to see similar economic development in Stratford. The Stratford Accelerator Centre at the Stratford Campus already incubates ten new companies and third-year students are now resident in Stratford providing a boost for retail and housing opportunities in the area.
