Award description:

2007 marked the University of Waterloo’s 50th Anniversary with the theme, the spirit of ‘why not’. This theme aptly describes University of Waterloo’s entrepreneurial heritage and its philosophy for the future. Talented people are at the heart of this pioneering spirit, and it is an appropriate time in the University’s history to build an endowment which will provide scholarships to University of Waterloo students in perpetuity. Many sponsors from the community have given generously to help establish this fund. Several scholarships will be available to full-time, undergraduate students in any Faculty who have completed Year One, Two, or Three with an 80% average or higher.
