"Waterloo Grad Ready"

We're thrilled to welcome you to campus in just a couple weeks! To make the transition as smooth as possible, here are four things to consider before you arrive:

"1"

Sign up for the Grad Social on May 10

Meet new friends, learn about graduate supports and resources, and celebrate the start of the term. Browse the online schedule and participate in some or all of the events.

"2"

Apply for your WatCard by May 1

Your WatCard is your official student identification. You’ll use it both on and off campus. Apply online and upload your photo by May 1 and your WatCard will be ready for the first day of classes May 6. Don't forget to bring government-issued photo identification when you pick it up.

"3"

Order your textbooks

After you finalize your class schedule, your list of textbooks and course materials will be ready. Follow the steps to order before you leave and they’ll be ready when you arrive. Want school supplies or Waterloo swag? W Store has you covered.

"4"

Plan your transportation

Full-time students registered in "on-campus" courses on the main Waterloo campus or campuses in the Region of Waterloo receive unlimited access to Grand River Transit buses and the ION Light Rail with their WatCard. Learn more about GRT UPass eligibility.
