Faculty, staff, and especially students in Arts are so grateful to the alumni and friends who have created new opportunities for more students to reach their full potential academically, creatively, professionally and beyond.

New scholarships this year

Your Neighbourhood Credit Union Award

Awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in year two, three, or four of any program in the Faculty of Arts. Selection will be based on academic achievement combined with demonstrated community involvement in the Region of Waterloo. This fund is made possible by a donation from Your Neighbourhood Credit Union.

Nihar and Mina Bose Graduate Scholarship in Economics

Awarded annually to graduate students in the Department of Economics who demonstrates academic excellence and financial need. Preference will be given to international doctoral students who have an interest in economic theory or econometrics and have previously lived in India.  This award is made possible by a donation from Prof. Sukesh and Mrs. Nandita Ghosh in honour of Prof. Ghosh’s late uncle and aunt, Nihar and Mina Bose.

 

DiMarco Undergraduate Scholarship in Computational Rhetoric

Awarded annually to an undergraduate student enrolled full time in year two, three, or four of any program in the Faculty of Arts or a Computer Science program in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science. Selection is based on academic achievement combined with demonstrated interest in the area of computational rhetoric. This fund is made possible by a donation from alumnus Sam Pasupalak (BCS ’12), in honour of Professor Chrysanne DiMarco’s excellent teaching and mentorship.

DiMarco Graduate Scholarship in Computational Rhetoric

Awarded annually to graduate students registered full time in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science or in the Faculty of Arts with a demonstrated area of interest in computational rhetoric. Selection will be based on academic achievement and demonstrated research interest in computational rhetoric. This fund is made possible by a donation from Sam Pasupalak (BSC ’12) in honour of Professor Chrysanne DiMarco’s excellent teaching and mentorship.
