March 4: Indigenous Speakers Series presents Dr. Evan Adams
Evan Tlesla II Adams is a Coast Salish actor and physician from the Tla’amin First Nation near Powell River, BC, Canada. He starred in the 1998 film Smoke Signals. Dr. Adams is currently the Chief Medical Officer of the First Nations Health Authority. He will talk about the pandemic impacts on Canada's Indigenous communities.

March 26 and 27: carried away on the crest of a wave
The Theatre and Performance program (Communication Arts) presents their first-ever livestreamed production, scenes from carried away on the crest of a wave. Written by David Yee, directed by Professor Andy Houston and performed by students in the senior capstone course, the play follows the impacts of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami as they resonate globally and move us with the power of water and human resilience.
