Our Periodic Table project

I teach chemistry at Notre Dame College School in Welland ON with Mrs. Tina Turner. Starting at the beginning of 2011 we held an International Year of Chemistry Periodic Table Contest. Students from grades 9-12 from 2011 spring semester picked an element from the periodic table to design and submit for our own school version of the periodic table. In the fall 2011 semester, students in grades 11 and 12 chemistry classes competed for a spot on the table for the remaining elements. The table is now complete and will be hung in our school library. This was an excellent way to commemorate 2011 — The International Year of Chemistry.
