Melissa Jones from Austin, Texas had this little home-made mole at ChemEd 2017 — thanks to her mother, Mary Duvall. Melissa sent us the pattern, and we have posted it online with instructions for readers. The pattern is dated 1997 and is from the National Mole Day Foundation (NMDF). Look for it at Chem 13 News website under October’s Supplemental Materials. This pattern is a little more difficult that the typical mole pattern found online but uses Velcro allowing for the mole to be cut in half — so you can have 0.5 moles! We will also put the traditional mole pattern online.
