At Waterloo Ventures we aim to positively impact a billion individuals by 2030. To do this, we are creating and sustaining equitable, diverse, inclusive and accessible entrepreneurship spaces and practices. This means that in the pursuit of excellence when generating positive impact:
- We see excellence as multidimensional. There are many pathways that changemakers take to pursue ideas that positively impact their communities and the world. We believe that the roads less traveled and not yet traveled can still be taken.
- We dare to disagree in a respectful fashion and create safe spaces to do so. We know that various perspectives and ways of pursuing innovation help us generate better solutions to the complex problems of an increasingly diverse world. When we disagree, we open the line of communication.
- We are experts in continuous learning and adapting. While we have expertise in commercializing technology and building businesses, we can’t know it all. We are committed to continuous learning through proactive engagement and equitable collaboration.
- We are resilient. While we know change and learning can take energy, we support each other and collaborate to stay resilient, innovative and curious.
