​Janet Lang.

JANET LANG (BA ’89, Recreation and Business), Janet is currently employed as the Strategic Advisor (Planning) for the Canadian Forces Housing Agency. In addition to this, she is a Public Affairs Officer and holds the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Naval Reserve. In June 2021, LCdr Lang was appointed Executive Officer of HMCS CARLETON, in Ottawa.

HANS OH (BSC ’99, Health Studies CO-OP), In 2020, Hans started his own consulting company, Innoveron Group, focused on the intersection of health care, strategy, and innovation. His clients are often looking to expand, grow, or bring new products to market.

MARGO HILBRECHT (PHD ’09 Parks, Recreation and Leisure Studies), Margo started a new position in February 2022 as the Executive Director of the Vanier Institute for the Family.

RACHAEL CALE (BA ’14, Therapeutic Recreation),Rachaelis one of five recipients of The Hospital for Sick Children's 2021 President's Award. She was recognized for creating a seamless child and family experience through innovative and interactive live TV programming on the hospital's internal tv channel, The SKOOP.

CHRISTINA HASSAN (BSC ’14, Health Studies, MPH ’16, Master of Public Health), Christina began her new role as an Associate Lawyer at Walsh LLP in January 2022.

AUSTIN WADE WILSON (PHD ’15, Recreation and Leisure Studies), Wadeis a Mental Performance Consultant with his own company and also works with Nordik Windows and Doors covering the greater Toronto Area and Ottawa.

​Ashley Gallant.

ASHLEY GALLANT (BA ’15, Recreation and Sport Buisness, MA ’17, Recreation and Leisure Studies), Ashleystarted a new position in May 2021 as an Executive Recruitment Consultant at Artemis Canada. There, she works with North American tech companies to find executive leaders for their fast-growing teams.

DARCI PRINCE (BA ‘16, Recreation and Sport Business), Darcibegan a new role as Events and Student Engagement Specialist at the University of Waterloo Stratford School of Interaction Design and Business.

SHANNON GOW (BSC ’16, Kinesiology), Shannon has started working as a chiropractor at Price Health in Waterloo.

MOLLY FURNESS (BA ’18, Recreation and Leisure Studies), Mollymoved to the Centre for Career Action as a Career Advisor in November 2021.

MEGAN MUIR (BA ‘18, Recreation and Leisure Studies, MA ’19, Recreation and Leisure Studies), Meganbegan her new role as Coordinator, Facility Operations at Queen's University in August 2021.

​Sherry Rezvani.

SHERRY REZVANI (MPH ’19, Public Health)Sherrydecided to switch her career pathway and work in a bigger research project where she could use her abilities to the most. Since September 2021, she began working at the COMPASS system as a research coordinator.

Janna (BSc ’12) and Kurtis (BSc ’15) are two Kinesiology alumni and proud parents of this potential future Waterloo Warrior.

These two met during Orientation week as co-leaders of the group “Hip Hop Scotchers” in 2011 and have been together ever since.

In 2016, they became dog-parents to Brodie, a miniature Australian shepherd. They married in 2018 and welcomed their daughter in October 2021.

Professionally, Janna is working as a clinic manager and physiotherapist that specializes in neurorehabilitation and pediatrics in Burlington.

Kurtis is working as a behaviour therapist and pursuing a Master of Applied Disability Studies to complete his certification requirements to become a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA).
