Alumni Experience Series - Damla Kerestecioglu

UW HFES Student Chapter is kickstarting the new term Spring 2021 with a new series named Alumni Experience Series. The first event of the series will feature Damla Kerestecioglu, a Research Manager at TD Canada Trust. The event is scheduled for May 27, Thursday between 4-5PM (EST). We invite you to this event, where you will have the opportunity to connect with a SYDE alumni and ask questions regarding their industry and/or research experiences.

Speaker Bio:

Damla is a mixed-method researcher trained in both Cognitive Psychology and Human Factors Engineering. Her work has ranged from fMRI studies of spatial memory to cognitive work analysis of the communication channels between healthcare providers. She currently acts as the Research Manager at TD Canada's Design Research Team where she oversees research design, stakeholder alignment, mentorship, and the team's overall research mandate. Design Research at TD is broadly responsible for ensuring usable products across different platforms, employing a variety of research methods tailored to the product and use-case at hand. Damla holds a BSc in Psychology from University of Toronto and a MASc in Systems Design Engineering from University of Waterloo.
