IUW 2015

Saturday, November 21, 2015 12:00 am - 12:00 am EST (GMT -05:00)

The Human Factors Engineering Inter-University Workshop (IUW) is an annual workshop for students to showcase their current and proposed research in human factors engineering and other related disciplines, including ergonomics, psychology, biomedical engineering, human-computer interaction, and user experience. Held in a longstanding partnership with the University of Waterloo and SUNY Buffalo, IUW is a day-long event where student researchers and members from industry to share their ideas and latest work in human factors and ergonomics.

The Human Factors Interest Group (HFIG) at the University of Toronto is pleased to be hosting IUW 2015 on November 21st, 2015. We welcome two keynote speakers this year: Ron Baecker, Emeritus Professor of Computer Science at the University of Toronto, and Paul Eisen, Director of User Experience Design at SapientNitro. There will be networking opportunities during the breaks, lunch, and dinner.

We invite students and postdocs to present their research at IUW 2015 in the form of a podium or poster presentation. IUW is a welcoming environment to share ideas, exchange feedback, and gain experience presenting research. We encourage all students to participate, as it is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in presenting their research as well as collecting feedback from their peers, keynote speakers, and attending faculty members.

Registration and abstraction submissions are now open. Abstracts are due by October 31st; registration closes on November 7th. Registration is free.
