For Spring 2021 term, the third event of the Professor Lecture Series will feature Dr. Ori Friedman, Professor from Department of Psychology at University of Waterloo. The event is scheduled for August 19, Thursday between 4-5PM (EST). We invite you to this event, where Professor Ori Friedman will provide an introduction to his research interests, sharing insights into the field and its applications.

Speaker Bio:

Dr. Friedman is a Professor at University of Waterloo. He completed his PhD in Psychology from the Boston College, right after completing his Bachelor's study in Psychology and Philosophy from University of Toronto. He is the director of the Child Cognition Lab (CCL) at the University of Waterloo.

Dr. Friedman's research focuses on children's social cognitive development and many related topics such as theory of mind. Dr. Friedman's research investigates issues including how young children understand thoughts, emotions, and actions; as well as how children think about ownership, rights, and responsibilities; and how children engage in pretend-play and understand the distinction between fantasy and reality.
