For Spring 2021 term, the second event of the Professor Lecture Series will feature Dr. Umair Rehman, Assistant Professor at Wilfrid Laurier University. The event is scheduled for July 15, Thursday between 4-5PM (EST). We invite you to this event, where Professor Umair Rehman will provide an introduction to his research interests, sharing insights into the field and its applications.

Speaker Bio:

Dr. Rehman is an Assistant Professor at Wilfrid Laurier University. He has a PhD in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, specializing in Human Factors and Human-computer Interaction. Prior to joining Laurier, he was a researcher at the Human Optimization Modelling Lab at the University of Waterloo.

Dr. Rehman’s research aims to understand human performance and behavior in complex sociotechnical systems. His work can be categorized in four inter-related programs of research: understanding and modeling human behavior in social and complex systems, exploring designs for human-machine symbiosis, using human factors to rethink moral or privacy-related issues in emerging sociotechnical systems. He draws upon research methods and concepts from user experience design, human factors, human-computer interaction, and information systems.
