Virtual Meet & Greet with GASP

Tuesday, November 9, 2021 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm EST (GMT -05:00)

Virtual Meet & Greet event with GASP
In collaboration with the Graduate Association for Students in Psychology (GASP), join us on November 9th, from 4-6pm (EST) on Gather.town for our Virtual Meet & Greet event.

Were you aware that the Department of Psychology at UW works on research projects related to human factors too? Some current ongoing projects include developing apps to improve mental health, effective design in online video lectures, understanding perception of architectural forms and their influence on wayfinding and emotion, and so much more! Sometimes we forget about the importance of collaboration across domains, so we're bringing to you a virtual event to support casual knowledge sharing with other graduate students that you might not have otherwise met during your studies at Waterloo.

At the event, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Meet graduate students from the Department of Psychology who are interested in learning about Human Factors research.
  • Chat about how you may have used methods, concepts or theories related to psychology in your work.
  • Learn from other graduate students who use similar methods, concepts or theories to answer research questions adjacent to Human Factors.
  • Make new friends!
  • Have a chance to win raffle prizes.

(Note: In this form, we ask for some information such as research interests and keywords which will be shared with other attendees. This is so other people can learn about others’ interests before the event and help you find others with similar interests. We highly recommend you answer these questions, but this is not mandatory!)

We look forward to seeing you there!
