Email in the Cloud
First announced on February 12, the Office 365 employee email investigation recommendation to proceed with a staged migration of the majority of employee email to the Microsoft Office 365 cloud environment was approved. Having worked closely with our Microsoft partners, Information Systems & Technology (IST) carefully assessed the requirements for O365 deployment and, in collaboration with academic support units and each Faculty, developed migration plans for the clients within these areas.
Where we are today
The migration of academic support units was successfully completed between June and August, 2020. IST is currently finalizing migration schedules with each of the Faculties, and with the affiliated and federated institutions, with the goal of completing email migrations by the end of the calendar year.
