Build your résumé in 4 months, not years
If you want a successful career, there's no better place to be than the University of Waterloo.
We're ranked #1 in the world for employer connections – and we're North America's largest co-op university.
What's co-op? It's like an internship – except you're paid and you study for 4 months, work for 4 months, study for 4 months, work for 4 months... you get the idea.
Not interested in the co-op program? Don't worry - we have regular full-time programs as well.

JAKE MALLIAROS, TEAM MEMBER, WATERLOOP
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk threw down the Hyperloop challenge in 2015: Build a prototype that demonstrates the feasibility of travelling at a speed of 1,200 km/h in a pod that rides on a cushion of air in an enclosed track. A team of more than 150 Waterloo students made the competition.
RUPI KAUR, AUTHOR, milk and honey
As a busy Arts co-op student with a growing set of skills and insights, Rupi pushed herself to write, design and self-publish milk and honey. With her social media savvy, the poetry collection sold a staggering 17,000 copies before it was picked up by a publisher and quickly summited bestseller lists.
RACHEL MCDONALD, MEDICAL STUDENT
As a health studies student, Rachel spent five co-op work terms at Sunnybrook Hospital in the radiation oncology unit co-ordinating a radiotherapy program for people in the advanced stages of cancer. Her experiences and work earned her acceptance at two of Canada’s medical schools.
