This seminar will provide an overview of the University of Waterloo SharePoint service as it exists currently, and the plans underway to refresh and re-organize SharePoint.

SharePoint is an online collaboration environment designed by Microsoft to integrate with Microsoft Office and Exchange.

This seminar will look at how the SharePoint service is currently utilized and structured; provide examples of how SharePoint can be useful; and how SharePoint can be improved.

You are invited to provide feedback on how SharePoint might work better for you as we move towards migrating from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2016.

Bio: Stephen Markan, Client Services, IST is the Account Representative for the Faculty of Science.

Stephen began his career at the University of Waterloo in the Library and has many years of IT experience.  He wrote his first program on a RadioShack TRS-80. Yes that was 40 years ago.  Apparently some things have changed since 1977.  

He is has contributed extensively to the implementation of  SharePoint. And occasionally dabbles in other IT projects with campus-wide implications.
