PMO and Jira
Jonathan and Pam will provide a brief overview of PMO’s adoption usage of Jira and Big Picture as a project management platform, as well as plans for supporting the ongoing adoption of the tool and PM practices at UW. Topics will include project intake and portfolio reporting, and standard options available for managing projects with the toolset.
Speakers Bio
Jonathan (JW) has been with the PMO since 2013, and at Waterloo since 2003. He’s worked in a number of ancillary, academic and academic support departments during that time. As a PM he’s used some form of agile tools and approaches on all of the projects he’s worked on with the PMO and continues to develop people focused methods to managing projects especially in the use of PM tools and software.
Pam manages the Project Management Office (PMO) within IST and is also a graduate of the University. She enjoys collaborating with others on campus on PPM best practices and tools. She is a published author of a young adult fiction novel and enjoys spending time with her family, horses, and dogs.
