Mandatory 2FA!
Mandatory Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) will soon become mandatory for students and employees at Waterloo. This talk will provide an update on the 2FA roll out to campus. We’ll highlight some of the varied activities completed to date to encourage students and employees to pre-enroll and we’ll provide details on available supports, tools and resources.
Speakers Bio
Samantha Murray is passionate about change. She has worked at Waterloo for 9 years holding a variety of roles within the Registrar’s Office and Human Resources giving her direct experience with both student facing and Academic Support Units. As a Change Management Advisor, certified in the Prosci methodology, Samantha’s expertise focuses on the implementation of change efforts for university-wide change initiatives.
Andrew Ward is a member of the Information Security Services (ISS) within IST. Andrew is the technical lead for 2FA at Waterloo. Over the course of more than 20 years, he has held various IT roles in IST and the Centre for Extended Learning.
