The Quest in Cloud Project
An IaaS (Infrastructure as a service) project is underway to host Quest in Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure, with a go live date of February 2022. This presentation will cover the benefits, project approach, where we are at and all the cool things this cloud implementation will help us do. We will share about some of our learnings and adjustments with regards to this cloud implementation. There may be a demo as well.

Speaker Bios:
Daryl Dore: Prior to joining the university in 2015, Daryl spent most of his career at BlackBerry leading teams in business systems, web technology and data governance. In his current role Daryl leads the IST efforts for Quest, HR, Financial and Data Systems.
Chris Voutsis: has over 20 years of experience in PeopleSoft applications, joining as a developer for the University of Waterloo's Campus Solutions implementation in 2001. He has development experience in both Campus Solutions and Human Capital Management Oracle PeopleSoft applications and moved into the App/DBA role in late 2015. Today he serves as a PeopleSoft Applications Administrator and is the technical lead for the University of Waterloo's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions environment as well as their move into the Oracle Cloud.
Connie van Oostveen: is the project manager for the Quest in Cloud project. Connie is a Sr. Project Manager in the Project Management Office in IST. As a member of IST for the past 26+ years, she has worked in a variety of IT roles and on a variety of projects. In addition to the Quest in Cloud project, Connie is working on the next phase of the Graduate Recruitment and Admissions Transformation project, the SharePoint Move to Cloud project, and the Jira Software project (moving Jira project management software to the cloud). Connie has her PMP and recently obtained her PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certification.
