Lync is NOT Skype! Well, I guess we were wrong. As many of you may be aware, Microsoft has re-branded its Lync platform to Skype for Business. While the name has changed, the product has not. In this session we will provide a brief overview of where IST stands with respect to the upgrade of the current Lync Server 2013 environment to Skype for Business 2015. As well, we will give an update on the project and service rollout to the rest of campus, and where we will go from there. We’ll also highlight the many ways Skype for Business can improve business operations. Skype for Business is not just instant messaging and phone calls; it can be so much more and can be customized to fit your groups daily workflow (as opposed to having to adjust your workflow to the technology).
