Benjamin Lei graduated with his M.Sc. Earth Sciences degree at June convocation.
Earlier this year, Benjamin Lei successfully completed his thesis entitled, “Assessing Critical Metal Incorporation in Ca-Carbonate Minerals using Cyanobacteria: Application to Mine Site Environments”. Benjamin convocated in June with his M.Sc. Earth Sciences degree and is now pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Toronto. Congratulations Benjamin!
Three undergraduate thesis students from the Geomicrobiology lab also crossed the stage at June convocation; Emily Zelenyt, Kristina Mironova, and Joseph Spagnolo all completed fantastic theses this past year, studying various aspects of mine site biogeochemistry. Emily and Kristina will be joining the lab as graduate students in the Fall, and Joseph is busy kicking off his career in environmental consulting. Congratulations to all three!
