Ocular Biology & Physiology Lab
Welcome to the Ocular Biology and Physiology lab!
We're so glad you're here and hope you'll take the time to learn about our research interests and some of what our graduate students and research assistants have been up to!
Our research interests include:
- the optics, molecular structure and function of the crystalline lens during accommodation
- the role of fluid flow in lens biomechanics
- molecular and cellular changes mediating and following refractive error development and retinal ganglion cell death
- development of neuroprotective strategies following retinal ganglion cell death
- understanding the physiology of myopic eyes and mechanisms underlying the development of myopia
