Biography
Nadine collaborates with researchers across all six Faculties at the University of Waterloo, aiming to connect them with non-profit and public sector organizations for collaborative research projects. Nadine’s portfolio includes knowledge mobilization, which involves assisting researchers with enhancing their knowledge mobilization plans for research grant applications, organizing connector events with external organizations to build collaborations with Waterloo researchers, managing the University of Waterloo Knowledge Mobilization Community of Practice, and other initiatives aimed at enhancing the impact of Waterloo research. Nadine is passionate about helping to maximize the impact of research for the public good.
Nadine joined Waterloo in 2008, working as a project coordinator in the Department of Psychology, and then took a secondment in the Office of Research as manager of non-profit/ public sector partnerships, before moving to the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies as a community outreach and communications specialist, and eventually returning to the Office of Research as senior manager, knowledge mobilization & partnerships. Nadine has a master’s degree in social/cultural anthropology from the University of Calgary.
