PN Lab alumnus Dr. Dimitar Kolev (BSc '15, SPHHS) is completing his first year medical residency at the McMaster University Centre for Family Medicine in downtown Kitchener. We had a chance to catch up this week; Dimitar feels that one of the highlights of his residency is the opportunity to work in many different settings, with a wide variety of patients. "Through my undergraduate thesis work in the PN Lab, I adopted the perspective of curiosity and healthy scepticism that conceives research and drives scientific progress. I am thankful for the experiences I had at the PN Lab, as I firmly believe they were integral to my development as a lifelong student of medicine." Dr. Kolev currently splits his time between the Centre for Family Medicine and several regional hospitals.
