Exploring dynamic interactions between psychological and contextual factors on effort-based decision-making (ORE #47778)

Help us understand the relationship between daily life experiences and physical activity!

Inclusion criteria:

  • Are between 18 and 29 years old

  • Have access to a cellular device with data connection

  • Are willing to wear a smartwatch and complete surveys daily

  • Can attend 2 in-person sessions at the University of Waterloo separated by 6 months

  • Can communicate in English

Exclusion criteria

  • Have a health issue preventing regular physical activity
  • Are unable/unwilling to wear smartwatches
  • Are unable/unwilling to download the Fitbit and Pathverse smartphone applications 
  • Are unable/unwilling to complete daily smartphone prompts during the day
  • Are unable/unwilling to attend 2 measurement visits at the University of Waterloo separated by 6 months

If you volunteer to be in this study, participation will involve will involve two 7-day study periods separated by 6 months. Each study period includes 1 in-person visit followed by 7 days of completing 4 surveys a day about your current experiences. Each survey will take 2-3 minutes to complete.

You can earn up to $142 for participation in this study.
