DanielleĀ is a Bachelor of Science graduate from the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. Her research interests focus on how climate change driven shifts in water systems affect communities and their livelihoods. Her undergraduate thesis examined how low water levels influence the food system in a small Indigenous community in the Northwest Territories, and how communities can adapt to these environmental changes.
As a Master of Environmental Studies student at the University of Waterloo, she hopes to further explore how water-related environmental change impacts communities, with a particular interest in managed retreat as a climate adaptation strategy.
