Kasra Motlaghzadeh is a Ph.D. student in System Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo. His research explores complexities around socio-environmental systems, climate change mitigation, and adaptation. He holds a master's degree in Water Resources Management and is interested in analyzing and mapping water-related extremes (droughts, floods). Kasra works as a research assistant with Partners for Action, integrating flood risk assessments with spatial and temporal socioeconomic factors that contribute to the flood vulnerability of communities.
