Kelly Cooley is a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture student at the University of Guelph. She works as an Undergraduate Research Assistant under Dr. Kearney Coupland, where her research focuses on managed retreat, climate adaptation, and community relocation planning. Kelly also works with Dr. Sue Chiblow as the Administrative Assistant for the Ndaakendaaswen Gamig Lab. Drawing on her experience in Indigenous community engagement, research, and landscape design, Kelly is interested in how meaningful community engagement and land-based knowledge can support cultural continuity and give First Nations communities greater leadership and choice throughout climate-induced relocation.
