Meilinda is a doctoral student in Geography at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. Her main research interest is in coastal studies, particularly related to disaster vulnerability in coastal areas. Meilinda's previous thesis focused on tsunami vulnerability analysis in coastal zones, using an integrated approach that combines spatial analysis and community participation. She holds a Master of Science in Coastal and Watershed Management from the Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Meilinda participated in the Master of Science in Food Security and Climate Change program at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, as well as the Erasmus+ exchange program at the University of Göttingen, Germany. With this interdisciplinary background and international academic experience, she is committed to promoting coastal resilience and sustainable land management in disaster-prone areas.
