Salvesila Tamima is a Ph.D. student in the Disaster Science and Management program at the University of Delaware, where she also serves as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Disaster Research Center.
Her dissertation research focuses on improving the efficiency and fairness in floodplain property buyout programs. As part of her professional service, Salvesila serves as a co-director of the Hazards, Risks, and Disasters Specialty Group of the American Association of Geographers.
