One of Canada's FIRST MPharm programs in Advanced Pharmacy Practice

The future holds many challenges for scientists and advanced health care practitioners. Training and expertise are necessary to address issues such as increasing medication use in aging populations, the impact of climate change on health and the effect of technology on health care delivery.

Alumni of our graduate programs are making their mark in academia, industry and the scientific community. Over the next five years, we will continue to recruit graduate students from Canada and abroad with the skills and passion to solve important problems.  We will ensure that students have financial support and provide them with an environment that allows their potential to flourish.

Entrepreneurship is part of our DNA at the University of Waterloo and we will embed this entrepreneurial culture in our graduate programs. We will map the curriculum, expand our course offerings and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration. The Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) in Advanced Pharmacy Practice will address a pressing need for clinicians with the expert knowledge to manage complex patients or complex drug therapy in specialized patient populations.

Innovation and leadership will be critical to creating a healthier world and we will prepare our graduates to lead the way.
