From July 11–15, 2026, Prof. Nikolas Knowles and PhD candidate Johannes Eichwalder attended the 10th World Congress of Biomechanics (WCB) in Vancouver, BC. The TMMI Lab, in collaboration with its research partners, contributed to the scientific program with three poster presentations:

  • Subject-Specific Micro Finite Element Modeling of Proximal Humeral Neck Trabecular Bone: Validation and Structure–Function Insights
Presented and authored by Johannes Eichwalder et al.
  • Optimization of a Custom-Designed Perfusion Bioreactor for Human Bone Tissue Culture
Presented by Johannes Eichwalder; authored by Mahsa Zojaji et al.
  • Assessing Cytocompatibility of 3D-Printed MED610TM Constructs
Presented by Nikolas Knowles; authored by Mahsa Zojaji et al.

The conference featured inspiring plenary sessions, keynote lectures, and a well-organized scientific program. It provided an excellent opportunity to engage with the international biomechanics community, exchange ideas, and discuss emerging directions in the field.
