Professor, Cheriton School of Computer Science
Jimmy Lin is a professor and the Chair of the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, previously from the University of Maryland. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT in 2004, and his research aims to build tools that help users make sense of large amounts of data, through information retrieval, natural language processing, and infrastructure for data analytics.
