At the May symposium held in Nanjing China, The International Society for Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU) has presented the Frederic Lizzi Early Career Award to Dr. Alfred Yu in recognition of his substantial contributions to the advancement of therapeutic ultrasound, specifically for his major research accomplishments on the biophysics of sonoporation and wave-cell interactions.
The award is named after a key American ultrasound pioneer, and it is the field's top milestone award to recognize the best therapeutic ultrasound researcher within 10 years after their PhD.
