Health Promotion and Evaluation Specialist
Ornell is a Health Promotion and Evaluation Specialist in Campus Wellness and has more than 15 years’ experience in health promotion and chronic disease prevention programming, research, and evaluation. She received her Bachelor in Kinesiology from McMaster University, and her Master of Public Health from the University of Waterloo. She has worked in NGO and academic environments, with the last 11 years having worked as a Project Manager at UW’s School of Public Health Sciences, prior to coming to Campus Wellness. Ornell collaborates with students, staff, and faculty to employ evidence-informed strategies on projects to help foster a campus environment that prioritizes student health and wellbeing. Outside of work Ornell likes to travel, stay active and sometimes ruin a good walk by playing golf.
