New Associate Director, Health Promotion Jennifer McCorriston to join Campus Wellness July 17, 2017

Campus Wellness is pleased to announce that Jennifer McCorriston has accepted the role of Associate Director, Health Promotion. Jennifer comes to Campus Wellness from the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health Unit. She has a great deal of experience in initiating community-based public health campaigns, and she has a strong track record of leadership with diverse professionals. 

Through the interview process, she demonstrated a passion for her field of health promotion, a commitment to continuous learning, and a strong interest in and deep knowledge of many of the issues facing our student community. Jennifer holds an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster and a Master of Science in Health Promotion Studies from the University of Alberta. She will commence the position on July 17, 2017.  

The announcement of Jennifer’s appointment marks the end of a lengthy process of recruitment that began with a recommendation in the 2012 Student Mental Health Review. The review recognized the importance of enhancing the profile of activities representing prevention of mental illness and promotion of health and wellness. With this announcement, Campus Wellness has positioned itself to deliver prominent and effective health and wellness promotion strategies, building on the strong base of programs already provided by Health Education.
