Associate Director, Counselling Services
Melissa (she/her) is the Associate Director, Counselling Services - Campus Wellness. She is a CIS-gendered woman with black & indigenous heritage. She enjoys singing, dancing, listening to audio books, cooking & connecting with others in community.
Melissa has a passion for mental health & developing healthy inclusive teams through the creation of brave spaces built on relationship, collaboration, & authentic conversation. She enjoys collaborating with others to produce effective services that support the people Campus Wellness services. She has spent the majority of her career in the community mental health sector & is overjoyed to now be a part of the UW community supporting the well-being of students and the campus community at large.
Melissa is located on the 2nd floor of Needles Hall (NH) in the Couselling Services office of Campus Wellness. Send her a message or come by to see her any time!
