Todd
When Todd Pokrywa wrote his bachelor's thesis in 1995, New Towns as an Alternative to Urban Sprawl Development – A Case Study of Viera, Florida, he had no idea one day he would be the one leading land use planning and development for the 20,000+ acre master-planned community of Viera on Florida's Space Coast.

As President of The Viera Company (TVC), he manages real estate development, marketing, and sales activities. Todd is responsible for overseeing the ongoing expansion of the master-planned community in Brevard County, Florida.

TVC's business operations are intimately concerned with land stewardship and promoting the continued growth and prosperity of a vibrant community where people can live, work, and play. Todd's portfolio includes the direction of permitting efforts associated with wetland, habitat, and species protection and mitigation.

In 2004, Todd received Gulf Coast's Business Review's "Top 40 Under 40" distinction, and in 2008 was listed by the East County Observer as one of the "Top Eight People to Watch for Success." In 2012, he was profiled as a "Class Act" by the LWRLife Magazine, and in 2013 received the Impact Award from the Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross.  In 2019, he was highlighted as Business Leader of the Year by Space Coast Business Magazine.

An active member of the Urban Land Institute, Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association, Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast, Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce, Brevard Civilian-Military Council – Florida Space Coast and the Association of Florida Community Developers, Todd is a passionate planner committed to improving quality of life and contributing to the field of planning.

While his wife Cyndi continues to be his greatest inspiration, Todd fondly remembers his roots, the people who inspired him and supported his successful planning journey. He credits his ninth-grade geography teacher, Doug Struthers, who encouraged him to follow his passions. He regards his mentor, Rex Jensen, President and CEO of Schroeder-Manatee Ranch for challenging him to be self-reliant, build important public and private sector relationships and apply what he learned in University in his career.

Todd continues to improve both the quality of life and the economic engine on Florida's Space Coast by enhancing the lifestyle offerings available in the community, innovating in community development by continuing to learn from the best minds in the country and by collaborating with a multitude of elected, business, and community leaders.
