Waterloo International was delighted to host Prof. Carsten Maple, Prof. Jo Angouri, and Emily Lim from the University of Warwick on December 16, 2021 for two virtual meetings after the continuing pandemic interrupted plans for their on-campus visit.

We touched on several programs and concepts that provide a great foundation for future conversations and growth, and which closely reflect the goals and vision we have for our continued and deepening relationship with Warwick.

Highlights included hearing about Warwick’s digital learning and for-credit co-curricular opportunities, the Alliance Intensive Study Programme (AISP) and EUTOPIA learning communities, and exploring ideas about stackable microcredits and credentials.

We were delighted that our Student Success Office colleague, Dr. Sacha Geer, International Mobility and Intercultural Learning Manager, was there to speak to Waterloo’s programs and priorities, including global learning and intercultural competencies, meaningful experience and accessibility, and strengthening internationalization at home (IaH).

We look forward to continued discussions with our Warwick colleagues in the new year!
