Where will the IEC be?

You’ll find the IEC on the first floor of Needles Hall (NH), across from The Centre.

Has Waterloo always offered these services?

Yes! Currently, all of the services and programming that the IEC will offer are run through the Student Success Office. You can expect the same great level of service, but in a more convenient location.

What’s happening to the Student Success Office (SSO)?

The SSO isn’t going anywhere! Though international student services and exchange opportunities are moving to the IEC, the SSO continues provide great resources, including:

When will the IEC open?

We expect the IEC to open in spring 2024. We’ll announce an opening date soon.

How will I know where to go to my immigration consulting appointments?

When you register for an immigration consulting appointment in Portal, you receive a confirmation email with details about your appointment. Your email reminders will always have the correct location listed.
