  • Congratulations to Vyom Patel and his team for placing third place in the Waterloo Data and Artificial Intelligence Institute Wildefire Hackathon (you can read more about it here)

  • I am delighted to support the Future Cities Institute through making industry and academia connections for research aimed at developing livable, affordable, and equitable cities of the future; you can read more on these efforts here Future Cities Institute

  • Our groups work with partners Bombardier, Pratt & Whitney Canada, and Ansys, supported by WISA through the FedDev funding, was highlighted in the following article WISA article

  • Our group is is privileged to be engaged with Dr. Ala Shayeghi from the NRC and our UW Co-PI Hans De Sterck on a projected aimed at developing mathematically robust (provably stable) numerical methods for linear and nonlinear PDEs on quantum computing that benefit from quantum speedup. You can read more about this project here NRC quantum computing project

  • We are happy to announce two projects supported by NSERC Alliance. The first is with Sigrun Ortleb from the University of Kassel on developing numerical methods for kinetic models for fluid flow problems while the second is for reduced order methods for PDEs with Prof. Hessam Babaee, from the University of Pittsburgh, you can read more about both projects here NSERC Alliance projects
