The WISA Sustainable Future Competition was launched to support projects that have the potential to be a model of social, environmental, and economic sustainability in aviation or aerospace – led by small to medium enterprises within Southern Ontario. We were looking for inspirational ideas, exciting designs, and new directions towards a more sustainable future.
Funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), this initiative advances WISA’s mission of supporting innovative solutions and fostering an ecosystem supporting a sustainable future for the aviation and aerospace industries.
Supporting our local small-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is essential in fostering a more sustainable air transport industry across Southern Ontario. WISA’s Sustainable Futures Competition, through FedDev’s funding, was intended to help to catalyze an SMEs project to support sustainable innovations in aeronautics.
WISA’s work will help Canada’s aerospace sector soar. The Government of Canada congratulates the winning companies.
