MANAGE: How to Reduce Thoughtload, Unlock Capacity, and Support Your Team in Times of Change
Location: United College, Greenhouse Room, Room 164
Facilitator: Liane Davey
Description
You’re leading your team through one of the most significant changes in the organization’s history. Although it’s only the start of the “journey,” people are already distracted, triggered, and burned out. You need a path forward to help you manage—manage yourself and manage your team. The good news is that there are evidence-based strategies you can use to focus attention, reduce anxiety, and conserve energy. There is a way to create calm within the chaos.
In the second session, we’ll turn our attention to strategies to help you support your team, including how to:
- keep people focused on the highest-value outcomes and reduce low-value activity
- reduce the impact of emotional contagion
- optimize the use of sprints and recovery throughout the change process
Leading Change Part 2 represents the second half of Liane's series offered as part of the Academic Leadership Program. Note that you do not have to attend part 1 of this session to register for part 2.
