Melissa has a Masters of Divinity from Tyndale Seminary Toronto and is currently completing ordination with the Christian Reformed Denomination for the Spring of 2024. Her spiritual passions centre around contemplative practices, exploring the existential questions of life and exploring faithfulness to Jesus in a complex world. She is delighted to continue to be on campuses and walk alongside students who are seeking to explore Christian faith and ask questions at the crossroads of faith and academia.
She is no stranger to the University of Waterloo Campus having completed a BMath in Business Information Systems in ’96. She found her lifelong love James on this same campus among the Mechanical Engineers (’95). She has raised three children while completing a second bachelors in Education and her most recent Master’s degree. She enjoys nature hikes, gardening, quilting and word games like Scrabble, Wordle and Quordle.
