Although I agree with Michael P. Jansen that a full-blown lab report might be a little too demanding at the high school level, I would like to address a number of issues that surfaced from his article.
Stay with me folks… I'll get to the point eventually. I am one of those people who is very good with names. Faces, I'm okay, but with names, I'm like some kind of middle-aged prodigy. I'm not talking about remembering the name of someone I just met at a conference or at a cocktail party. I'm as bad as the next person with that.
Denialism is a thoroughly engaging book — both frightening and encouraging. Specter is a writer and a former journalist, and the ease of his writing style is evident throughout.
You’ve got to love moms. I think that’s a rule. When I told my mom, a retired elementary school teacher, that I was teaching using videos, her response was something like: “Oh honey, the best part of teaching is interacting with the students. You can’t teach them through a computer!” Sigh. You’ve got to love moms.
