CoLab Director Katie Plaisance was invited to present “Why Do Philosophy-STEM Collaborations Matter and What Makes Them Successful?” at the University of Minnesota Center for Philosophy of Science’s  Science, Technology, and Society speaker series. The talk discussed findings from Dr. Plaisance’s research on Engaging Science with Philosophy, and used both quantitative survey and qualitative interview findings to discuss the benefits scientists and engineers experienced from collaborating with philosophers of science, the factors that made their collaborations successful, and factors they believe could have made their collaborations even more successful.
