CoLab Director Katie Plaisance has published a new chapter in The Routledge Handbook of the History of Philosophy of Science After Kant. Her paper, “Socially Engaged Philosophy of Science,” discusses three contemporary accounts of engaged philosophy of science: Socially Relevant Philosophy of Science (SRPOS), Socially Engaged Philosophy of Science (SEPOS), and Field Philosophy (FP). She also traces the historical roots of these accounts back to feminist philosophy of science and illustrates connections to some early logical positivists.
