CoLab Director Katie Plaisance and CoLab Member Sara Doody presented an invited talk titled “What ‘Counts’ as Good Science? The Role of Disciplinary Habitus in Restricting Diverse Approaches to Science” at the Workshop on Credit, Diversity, and Research Quality in Science at the University of Barcelona. The talk discussed findings from qualitative interviews about philosophy-science collaborations and focused on how disciplinary conventions can shape how philosophy-science collaborations are, or are not, valued. You can read more about these findings in Dr. Doody and Dr. Plaisance’s paper, “What Is ‘Good’ Science?” and you can view a summary of the findings in a Research Brief.
