CoLab Director Katie Plaisance gave an invited talk at Western University’s Rotman Institute of Philosophy. The presentation, “What are the benefits of philosophy-STEM collaborations and what makes them work? Insights from Scientists & Engineers” shared findings from a large-scale survey of STEM researchers conducted as part of CoLab’s Engaging Science with Philosophy project. This talk focused on responses from participants who had already collaborated with philosophers of science, highlighting the benefits they experienced, the factors that contributed to the success of their collaborations, and what they believed could have made their collaborations even more successful.
